Júlio Villalobos-Torres is a Portfolio Management Analyst at Fairstead, based in the New York office.
In his role, Júlio supports Fairstead’s affordable housing portfolio, which encompasses 167 properties, over 22,000 units, across 28 states, and managed by 13 different property managers. He oversees monthly reporting to lenders, develops templates for property portfolio analytics, handles lender repair takedowns, manages replacement reserve submissions, and provides recommendations to maximize asset value and performance. Júlio also leads efforts to standardize reporting across the company’s portfolio using various platforms.
Before joining Fairstead, Júlio was a Senior Underwriting Analyst with Freddie Mac’s Targeted Affordable Housing team. There, he assisted in loan sizing totaling $90,312,000 and commitment drafting for rent/income restricted and mixed-income deals nationwide.
Júlio is an active member of the ULI Young Leader Group Programs Committee for the New York Chapter and participates in the New York and NuevaGen Committees of REAL.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a master’s degree in Real Estate Development from Texas A&M University. Born in Mexico City, Júlio is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
