Juan Galván

Senior Project Manager at Jamboree Housing Corporation

Juan Galván is currently a Senior Project Manager at Jamboree Housing Corporation in Irvine, CA. Jamboree is one of California’s largest nonprofit builders of affordable housing. Currently, the nonprofit has an asset portfolio of $3.2 billion that includes 96+ affordable housing communities throughout all of California. In his current role, he manages new project development including coordinating financial packaging; securing acquisition, predevelopment, construction and permanent financing; supervising architects, consultants, property managers, contractors and other development team members; monitoring development, construction and lease-up processes.

Previously at Hunt Capital Partners, he closed financing of 11 Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) deals in various states including California, Colorado, Tennessee, Louisiana, Illinois, North Carolina, and Arkansas. The total LIHTC investment was worth $187MM and produced 930 units of affordable housing. As a Project Manager he has overseen the completion of 13 projects totaling almost 800 units of much needed affordable housing throughout the country.

Mr. Galván is a current member of the Urban Land Institute ULI) in the Los Angeles Chapter. He is also a member of the Real Estate Association of Latinx Professionals (REAL) and is on REAL’s Nueva Gen committee. Mr. Galván also serves an Associate Board Member for Shelter Partnership, Inc.; a nonprofit organization collaboratively solving homelessness in Los Angeles County through policy analysis, resource development/distribution, and advocacy in support of agencies and local governments that serve the homeless.

Juan received his Bachelor of Arts in History of Public Policy from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He earned his Master of Planning and Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. Juan is also an alumnus of the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs.
