Alicia Valadez is the Manager for Leasing and Government Affairs at Northgate Gonzalez Markets.  She has worked for Northgate Markets for over 35 years.

Alicia Valadez was born in Carson, California on August 21, 1972. She graduated from Saint Paul High School in Whittier CA in June 1990 and from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in June of 1993 with a degree in Fashion. 

After receiving her education, she continued to work at the family’s business. Alicia has worked side by side with her father, uncles, aunts, cousins and siblings, learning the elements of a retail food business. Alicia and her family remembered a key lesson from her grandfather: stay close to customers, understand their needs and desires, and give them quality products at a fair price

The family’s core values of respect, honesty and hard work was embodied in the founding of Northgate Gonzalez Markets with the purchase of a small grocery store in Anaheim in 1980 which has grown to 43 stores in Southern CA.

As the Gonzalez family expanded, purchasing or leasing stores in other Hispanic neighborhoods, Alicia has assumed greater responsibilities for Northgate Real Estate Department.

Alicia and her husband Oscar reside in Riverside. They are the parents of two children, and enjoy watching sports and barbequing.
