Jose Angel Alvarez is a Relationship Manager in the Commercial Real Estate Finance group at HSBC. He is responsible for originating, underwriting, structuring, and managing commercial real estate loans and note-on-note financings to clients with institutional or international affiliations.

Prior to joining HSBC, Jose was a Senior Associate at Langdon Park Capital, where he underwrote multi-family acquisition opportunities and researched target markets. Prior to Langdon Park Capital, Jose was an Assistant Vice President in the Commercial Real Estate Finance group at CIT Bank, where he underwrote and closed construction and bridge loans on industrial, multi-family, and office properties. Jose began his career in the Assurance practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he was primarily engaged in the audits of private equity real estate funds.

Jose is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI), Real Estate Association of Latinx Professionals (REAL), Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA), and OutLeadership. He volunteers on REAL’s Nueva Gen committee. Jose is actively involved in mentoring students and early-career professionals through his involvement in Boston College’s Eagle Exchange and Harvard-Westlake School’s HW Works.

Jose received his Bachelor of Science in management from Boston College.
